The SMPR Ethical Message Platform

Raise your hand if you think you know what ethics are and how they parlay into the world of communications.

The foundation of public relations messaging and communications is based on trust and full disclosure; ethics rarely enters the picture.  Being ethical does not merely mean being a good corporate citizen or being socially or environmentally responsible.  For some, it crosses the lines of values; for others, it’s as simple as “do the right thing.”

In fact, these activities are merely pieces of fruit from a larger tree.

Sidney Maxwell Public Relations has devised a system in which a company can review its messaging and communications strategy and mesh these findings with four “filters” that we have found are the largest areas of conflict within organizations.  We help clients parlay what ethics means to them, not only showing it in their messages but also showing how business practices are perceived as ethical.  We can also help companies chart how high or low their messages rank using these filters to make messages more in concert with overall corporate objectives.

Ask us about how we can bring ethics into your communications discussions.
